Université Paris 12 is one of the 13 key universities newly established in the 1960s by splitting the original "University of Paris". It is located in the Creteil school district southeast of Paris and is a comprehensive university of arts, science, and engineering. The school has several schools under its jurisdiction, including the School of Literature and Humanities, the School of Science and Engineering, the School of Law and Society, the School of Economic Management and Environment, and the School of Life Science and Health. There are over 30000 students on campus, including 40% in law and economic management, 12% in medicine, 25% in literature, humanities, and urban construction, and 23% in science and engineering. Disciplinary strengths include bioengineering, biopharmaceutical engineering, technical interfaces, environmental management, artificial limbs, robots, business intelligence, management computers, and industrial computers.
