The University of Asabasca is a member of the Canadian Association of Higher Education Institutions and was established in 1970 by the Alberta Provincial Government. Its mission is to clear the barriers for adults in Alberta, Canada, and around the world to access traditional university education with multiple restrictions. To achieve this goal, universities have adopted an open admission policy in their undergraduate degree programs.
